Lucy Del Gaudio (Manager, Culture and Engagement- Prudential Financial, Newark, NJ/Program Manager, Minority Veterans of America) is a veteran of the United States Army. During her Active service, Lucy served in the 39th Finance Support Unit in Hanau, Germany and supported 5th Corp – Frankfurt, Germany during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. During her Reserve service, she served in Fort Totten, Queens.
Lucy is a strong advocate for veterans in the State of New Jersey. She serves as Co-Chair for the NJ SOS Veterans Stakeholders Women Sub Committee. The Sub Committee was instrumental in New Jersey establishing June 12th as Women Veteran Appreciation Day (http://news.prudential.com/a-new-day-for-new-jerseys-women-veterans.htm). She is the received the 2019 Women Veteran of the Year – New Jersey SOS Veterans Stakeholders Annual Breakfast. The Township of Weehawken named Lucy the first female Grand Marshall (in the 87th year history) of their 2018 Memorial Day Parade. She is a board member of Community Hope. She currently sits on the Council of Veteran Advisors for the Intrepid Museum – NYC, a Veteran Liaison/Volunteer for the YWCA Northern New Jersey and a Service Academy Interviewer for Senator Bob Menendez and Senator Cory Booker. She is the founding/former Chapter Captain Team Red, White and Blue Northern New Jersey.
On July 29, 2020, Lucy recently testified in front of the House Armed Services Committee – Subcommittee on Military Personnel Hearing: The Military MeToo Movement: An examination of sexual harassment and perceived retaliation in the DoD and at Fort Hood (https://www.c-span.org/person/?126952). She is a member the Women Veteran Grassroots Coalition that worked with members of Congress to establish the I AM Vanessa Act of 2020 (https://abcnews.go.com/US/army-veteran-role-vanessa-guillen-justice- movement-sexual/story?id=72086943). She also worked with several veteran organizations to create legislation to help Improve Maternal Health Outcomes for Pregnant Veterans (https://www.booker.senate.gov/news/press/veterans-organizations-endorse-booker-bill-to- help-improve-maternal-health-outcomes-for-pregnant-veterans).
Lucy is the Manager of Culture and Engagement within the Inclusion Solutions organization at Prudential Financial in Newark, NJ. She program manages culture sustainability within Prudential.
Lucy resides in Belleville, New Jersey with her husband, their four children and dog.

Lt. Col. Bernardine (Bernie) Donato
U.S. Navy and California Air National Guard (Retired)
Bernie was born and brought up in Slingerlands, New York. She is a graduate of Ellis Hospital School of Nursing in Schenectady, NY. She received a Bachelor in Science degree in Health Administration from the University of La Verne in California.
Bernie Donato spent 24 years in the military. The first 10 years of her career was spent in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps. In 1984she transferred to the California Air National Guard where she was assigned to the 146th Tactical Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron as a C-130 tactical flight nurse. Bernie was deployed to multiple operational areas including, Panama, Korea, and Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
In her civilian career, Bernie spent over 40 years as a registered nurse. 24 of those years were as an Emergency/Trauma Mobile Intensive Care Nurse in South Central Los Angeles. In addition, she taught paramedic interns in classroom and field training.
Bernie spent 11 years as a Reserve Police Officer for the Los Angeles Police Department. She was assigned multiple divisions in South Central LA where she worked patrol, vice, thegang units, and fugitive warrants. This officer was deployed to the field during the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Aside from receiving multiple division and bureau commendations, Berniewas awarded the Los Angeles Police Reserve Office of the Year in 1995 and the Los Angeles County Reserve officer of the year in 1996.
Bernie retired as a Research Nurse Coordinator from the University of California, Irvine in 2013 and moved to N. Carolina. She continues to give back to her community in many ways. Bernie has served as a volunteer Veteran Engagement Coordinator and Captain for Team Red, White & Blue Raleigh/Durham Chapter. She is an active member of the Travis Manion Foundation and Team Rubicon.
